GreenEarth silicone or siloxane is used and has been used for many many years as a base ingredient for many personal care cosmetics. In fact, that is how it was discovered, when some of the workers discovered their hands were cleaned by the substance. It was taken and patented as GreenEarth. Most anti reports are the result of attack marketing techniques. I studied it very thoroughly before opting for it as my Secondary cleaning method.
The report you refer to from Consumer Reports about CO2 is a real disappointment to me. I had much faith in them until I read that report. CO2 is not very effective at all in cleaning and almost always needs secondary cleaning with wet cleaning.
Wet cleaning is very effective and inexpensive. I prefer it above all methods but the public has a difficult time believing their $3,000 Italian designer suit or $%,000 Vera Wang will be cleaned without problem in a "fancy washing machine" as one customer objectingly called it.
Thomas,
Greensleeves Garment Care
Glen Cove, NY
Http:/DistinctiveCleaners.com
