Al Gore For President in 2008?

What has more twists and turns than a roller coaster and more plot changes than your favorite soap opera? This year’s presidential elections!

According to sources over at Grist environmental news website, Al Gore will announce his candidacy for president this week. Gore is apparently fed up by the fact the climate change is not getting more attention from any of the candidates (both Dem and Reps) currently in the running. So Gore will toss his hat into the ring as an Independent…to emphasize the fact that global warming should not be a partisan issue. The Grist report also confirms that Gore is thinking about hitting up fellow Independent New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to be his running mate.

Will it be Gore/Bloomberg in 2008? Look at the date and judge for yourself. Still curious? Check here to learn more about Al Gore’s presidential run.

Last year, I thought the Baby Offsets (have a baby, buy an offset) entry was the real deal. I was all ready to contribute to birth control in developing countries. I caught myself being hopeful for a minute when I read your blog…

That darn Grist. They get me every time.
