Your Kid Friendly Guide To Earth-Friendly Living!

Homemade Organic Play Dough

In my research for The Green Parent: A Kid-Friendly Guide to Earth-Friendly Living, I had the pleasure of interviewing Lori Helman, mom of 4, enterpreneur, homeschool teacher, environmental activist, and founder of Momma’s Baby.

While we spoke on the phone, this incredible mom’s four young children were playing silently in the same room with some organic playdough that Lori had mixed up for the occasion. She was generous enough to share with us that magic recipe!

Ingredients

1 cup organic flour

½ cup sea salt

2 Tbs. cream of tartar

1 cup filtered water

1 Tbs. vegetable oil

Mix flour, salt and cream of tartar in a saucepan. Combine water and oil in a small bowl. Stir into flour mixture gradually. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until very thick, stirring constantly. Remove and allow to cool for a few minutes. Knead until smooth. Store in an airtight container.

Thanks, Lori!
