Great Green Bargains
One of the most frequent comments I hear from parents is that they want to make eco-savvy choices, but can’t afford the high cost of going green. In today’s economic climate, no one (myself included) wants to place any additional burdens on already strapped budgets.
The great news is that the essence of going green is to buy less stuff. That doesn’t mean that you have to give up stuff entirely and live like a monk. But it does mean that it can pay big (for your wallet and the planet) to be more discriminating about what you buy.
Take, for example, clothing. I have written several blog posts about the eco-benefits of organic clothing. Yet, I cannot afford to fill my closet with all of the latet eco-fashions. My compromise? I only buy a few new things each season, and what I do buy has to be organic and sweat-shop free. I usually set a budget and stretch my eco-dollars to the max by looking for great green bargains. I look for end of season deals, overstocked merchandise, and most of all, COUPONS! (Try Couponers.com for some great green deals!)
My favorite great green bargain? My organic cotton cords that I got from Patagonia for $15. What’s yours?

Jenn, I know that many people prefer to purchase new when it comes to being green but I’m a fan of the resale/ consignment shops. We have several great ones in our area that only take good condition stylish clothes. I know it’s not organic (in most cases) but those clothes aren’t ending up in the land fills and I’m getting a great deal.
Dang i thought your blog was killer, gave me a car load of information, i never knew, thanks blogger.
The following time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I imply, I know it was my option to read, however I really thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you might fix in the event you werent too busy looking for attention.
I have been checking out some of your posts and i must say pretty clever stuff. I will make sure to bookmark your blog. http://www.pashtidattapoi.info/electronics/how-to-get-far-more-out-of-your-current-video-marketing/
It was bright morning when the child and the tiger walked out of the room together. Cymbals crashed, and bright birds sang, and Cinnamon and the tiger walked towards the Rani and the Rajah, who sat at one end of the throne room, being fanned with palm fronds by elderly retainers. The Rani’s aunt sat in a corner of the room, drinking tea disapprovingly.
