Giveaway: Organic Baby Bath Kit

Give Baby A Green and Clean Bath

Give Baby A Green and Clean Bath

We’ve heard some pretty disturbing news over the last few months about the chemicals (like phthalates and parabens) that most companies throw in personal care products.  These toxins wreak havoc on the planet and on your immune system…especially the fragile systems of growing babies.  And don’t be mislead into thinking this stuff washes away with the bathwater.  Your baby’s skin is her largest organ, and the warm wet conditions of the bathtub only increase absorbency.

So it just makes sense to bathe your baby in eco-goodness….plain water goes a long way towards cleaning delicate skin.  When you do need something with a bit more bubble, make sure the product your choose is natural and eco-friendly with ingredients that you wouldn’t be afraid eat (not that you’d really want to serve it up for dinner!)

I don’t understand how “they” are still allowed to get products out on the market that are so harmful to us! Thank goodness people are becoming more aware and creating more of a demand for these types of safe personal care products. I don’t understand why anyone would want to use any of the chemical-and-toxin-laden stuff on their precious little ones.

  2. Charlotte says:

Yikes, all those chemicals scare me. I’m pregnant with my first and can’t wait to bathe him or her in eco-goodness.

  3. Ilissa H. says:

It is crazy how many chemicals are packed into some of the products we use. Things like this make me feel a bit better. Thanks for the chance.

  4. Nate says:

    Hi,
I would like to enter please. These chemical scares are crazy, but our miss 2 also has eczema, so we are always on the lookout for what we are putting on her skin.
Keep up the good articles! :D

  5. Brooke says:

I have switched for organic lotion for the very same reason. I would love to try some body wash!

  6. Rebecca says:

Love the article! Was just telling my in-laws last night about tricolsan in most anitbacterial soaps and they said I, “read too much.” I take that as a compliment! I am protecting my child and my family.
Thanks for informing me about other healthy choices for our family!

  7. Courtney K. says:

I love trying new safe bath products! Count me in. I’m determined to win one of these someday! :)

  8. I’ve used thes products - - they are great! Wonderful article too.

  9. Ellen says:

I’ve used only natural products on my second daughter from day one and from early on with my first, once I found out about the horrible things they put in cosmetics and toiletries. I would love to try a new brand!

  10. Lynnae says:

I learn more and more every day with this blog. Thanks!

  11. Jennifer says:

I cannot believe how hard it is to convince people to open their eyes to what they are putting on/in their body! I use natural products on myself and in our home and plan to do the same with our little one arriving in November! Thanks for all the great articles!

  12. Aaren says:

I have three kiddos-three and under! Had no idea that there were harmful chemicals in bath products! thanks for the article and the giveaway.

  13. Cassandra says:

Hello, I love the comment if you are not willing to eat then you shouldn’t be soaking your body in it. Very true.

  14. Alisa says:

You know, I hadn’t really thought a whole lot about my girls’ soaps — I guess I just took too much for granted and that of course they would be safe. Thanks for this article, I need to do more research about what I wash them with!

  15. My girls aren’t babes anymore, but at 3 & 5 they still prefer the tear free stuff. i would love to sudz them up with this!
    Jen

  16. Ginger says:

Erin, my old roomate just had a baby…she loves the bathtub (double cancer baby). They made their own cloth diapers, and grow all the food they plan on feeding her in the garden at their home. I would love to give her some super fantastic baby bath stuff!!

  17. Jenna says:

We’re continuing to learn about having a green household since our baby was born. Now we are expecting twins, and would love to try these products.

  18. susan w says:

enter me please! i have 2 little boys (1 and 3 yrs) and they get dirty EVERYDAY!! i have tried some organic/green bath products but haven’t found the perfect one just yet. would love to try it!
    thanks :)

  19. Eric says:

I was largely ignorant of the paraben/phthalate danger inherent in seemingly 80% of all bath products until I had a child. Doing a little research made me a little more paranoid, but suitably informed. It really takes just a fraction of your time to research, make the right choices and then be able to rest easy…before the next thing comes along to terrify you.

  20. twoluvcats says:

I’m in! Always looking for eco-friendly bath products to try. :-)

  21. David says:

Count me in! I find it disturbing that big companies think it’s more important to make 3 extra cents than to put together safer personal care products, especially for babies.

  22. Amy says:

Would love to win! Have been bathing my baby girl in eco-friendly, healthy products since she was born. Would love to try this company, too!

  23. Hi! Thanks for the update on Twitter, I wouldn’t have seen this otherwise!

I love eco-friendly products for my kids. My little girls are so precious and I would hate to put something on them that is negative. One of them has eczema and it worries me so much because out of six kids she’s the only one. I am very careful about what I wash her clothes in, and how I take care of her skin.
