The Green Parent Weekly Roundup

The Green Week

The Green Week

This week’s roundup of green parenting stories from around the greenosphere:

  • A new site called Green Phone Booth launched this week and really hit the ground running with a post that gives the lowdown on toxins in toys.
  • Crunchy Chicken reposted an oldie but a goodie that shows how to make your own yogurt. A great idea for those who love yogurt but hate the cost/non-recyclable waste of the store-bought variety.
  • Anna Hackman, the blogger behind Green Talk, made the news for the recent green bar mitzvah she threw for her son.  Mazel Tov!
  • The Green Parent made the news as well in an interview I did on green parenting while speaking at the Evanston (Illinois) Green Living Festival.

Now, before you head off to click around the web, don’t forget to enter to win today’s giveaway:

How about some chocolate?  Yeah, I thought that might get your attention.  Thanks to the lovely folks at Divine Chocolate, I am giving away their scrumptious Thanksgiving Basket filled with the yummiest fair trade chocolates you have ever tasted.  I know because I tasted some of Divine’s chocolates and I can honestly assure you that their name hardly does them justice.  Wanna treat yourself to some eco-savvy chocolately goodness?

YUM-O!!! I have a huge sweet tooth or should I say I have sweet teeth, so this giveaway would be amazing. I just can’t get enough of chocolate:) And I love that this chocolate is fair trade, which I find hard to come across.

  2. Interesting. I used to live in Evanston some years ago, I’m not sure they had the green festival back then. I’m happy to hear that they have it now! Congrats on making the news!
