Ten Year Old Eco Rapper Says “Mother Nature's Crying”

Cardell Hopkins thinks of himself as an “average American kid.” The ten-year old Floridian loves basketball, reading, making music, Wii, skateboarding, and hanging out with his friends. But this young kid has recently become an internet sensation with his eco-rapping songs and videos like “Mother Nature’s Crying,” and “Melting Ice.”

Cardell, or Lil Peppi as he’s known to his fans, became concerned about the planet after learning about global warming at school and watching the movie Happy Feet.  When his father showed him that famous 1970s “Keep America Beautiful,” commercial (you know, the one with the crying Indian,) Lil Peppi decided he wanted to do his part to clean up the planet. With the help of his dad, he wrote “Mother Nature’s Crying,” and recorded a YouTube video to go with it.

Here’s an excerpt from the song:

“What’s going on in this world that we live in,
Too much taking and not enough giving
Mother nature keeps on crying,
She’s kind of sad cause the planet keeps dying
I’m telling ya… If I were the king of the world,
I would make a better place for the boys and girls

I would clean up, all of the pollution

If we work together we can find the solution”

In Lil Peppi’s latest eco-rap, “Melting Ice,” he asks everyone to do their part to find a solution.  Check out the video:

  1. They say gangsta rap is dying. I tend to disagree, it’s just changing forms and merging with new styles. What we’re doing is a prime example. Check out Kryptik – V.I.P Ft. Crooked I, just google it, I don’t wanna spam a link. if far

  2. Im part filipino and part swiss, and ive been working as a hostess for about seven months now and its going pretty well! Anyway i have been at school in UCLA for about a year now

  3. A beautiful variety of every color imaginable, cool mix and matches and a perfect combination of baby apparel is available for your needs. You can also choose to make your toddler look chic in winter wear, summer clothes, or using baby spring clothes.

  4. I’d come to bury the hatchet with you on this. Which is not something I usually do! I really like reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to speak my mind!

Hey would you mind letting me know which web host you’re working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most. Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price? Cheers, I appreciate it!

Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. :)

  7. Hello, was yesterday good for you? I enjoyed your site, keep up the great work.

  8. We discovered your blog Wednesday and started follow your posts regularly. I have not commented on any weblog simply but but I would really like to. It is really exciting to really contribute to an article even when its solely a blog.

  9. This is so great that I had to comment. I’m usually just a lurker, taking in knowledge and nodding my head in quiet approval at the good stuff…..this required written props. Theory rocks…thanks.

  10. I want to thanks for the efforts you have contributed in writing this blogpost. I am hoping the same top-quality article from you in the future as well. In fact your creative writing abilities has inspired me to start my own blog now. Truly the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your write up is a good model of it.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

  12. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
