Going Green in Colorado

The Denver-Boulder area of Colorado is diverse and offers a lot of local produce options. It is wonderful to walk through the local farmer’s markets, meeting farmers and supporting their work by buying the produce. There is nothing quite like a fresh Colorado peach. We love living here and supporting local companies. We strive to live green in our daily life, through recycling, using re-usable containers, buying less packaged items, and shopping local thrift stores. Hello. My name is Jeff Blitstein and I am passionate about recycling. I am a recent grad from CU, with my MPA and MBA and was curious about why Colorado does not have a bottle bill. I know there was a bottle bill proposed in 2004 but was never passed and not too sure why.
Could you please help me with that information? as I would like to have a Bottle Bill in Colorado.
Thank you,
Jeff
Hi Heather,
I’d like to invite you to a special screening of “Battle for Terra”, an animated 3D film being released nationwide May 1st. There is an environmental message in the film, and I think it might be of interest to you and those that read your blog. Please send me your email when you have a chance, and I can send you info about the film, as well as screening details.
Thanks,
Mary
