vegetarian (I am) is not healthier and certainly not going to make you loose weight (I also managed a vegan cafe for years) if you are a healthy vegetarian then you will need to eat a lot foods like nuts and seeds (along with beans, peas, avocados and such. to get protein and omegas which is a far more fat rich diet than eating say chicken or fish….. red meat sure is not great in many respects but a vegetarian diet should probably not be thought of a weight loss diet.
