Battle For Terra
If you’re in the mood for some 3-D sci-fi adventure this weekend…you are in luck. Battle For Terra is a new animated film premering this Friday that packs intense battle scenes with an equally intense eco-message of living green and living in harmony with others. Here’s the premise:
The humans have destroyed planet Earth and venture out into space looking for a new planet to call home. They happen upon Terra, a planet inhabitated by a peace-loving ancient community of Terrans. Thinking only of themselves, the humans initate a war with the Terrans in an effort to claim the planet as their own.
Battle For Terra has an impressive cast roster, (Evan Rachel Wood, Luke Wilson, Amanda Peet, Brian Cox, James Garner, Danny Glover, and Dennis Quaid,) and enough intense battle scenes to satify any sci-fi enthusiast. But it’s dark message and depiction of the human race may not be a great fit for kids who frighten easily.
