As I mentioned in my video post the other day, my weight loss efforts have taken a bit of a backslide recently. No sooner did I hit goal weight, then I stopped running due to an ankle injury and started eating everything in sight thanks to stress and a general bad attitude. Not surprisingly, the weight started coming back on. But fortunately, thanks to Shaklee, the awesome ladies behind Team Cinchspiration, and all of you, I was able to stop that backslide in its tracks and press the reset button on my weight loss efforts.
Yesterday, I went for a run for the first time in a week. I also watched what I ate ALL DAY – even opting for a Shaklee shake instead of bday cake at my daughter’s party. And guess what? I felt awesome! For the first time in 10 days or so, I felt healthy and fit again. Sure, it was only one good day in a lineup of bad days. But in the grand scheme of things, those bad days were just a blip when it comes to the good progress I’ve made over the last four months.
So I’m going to quit beating myself up and stick with the program that has been working for me for four months. Now if it would just stop raining so that I could go for a run again!
