It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for my weekly weigh in and measurements as part of my participation in Shaklee’s Cinch program and the Go Green Get Fit Challenge. But alas, I am on vacation. And oops, I didn’t happen to bring along a scale. Or a measuring tape. So for this week only I will have to put the numbers aside and focus on mechanics of attempting to follow a diet while on vacation. Attempting is the key word here.
Let me start by fessing up and admitting that I am not even trying to stick to the proper Cinch diet plan. I’m on vacation after all. At the beach. And there is good food a plenty in every direction. So I have two objectives this week:
1. Stick to my fitness regimen, while continuing to work toward my goal of participating in the Luray Sprint Triathlon.
2. Start each day with a Cinch smoothie rather than a heavy breakfast.
I’m happy to say that I have stuck to both of those objectives. And that’s a good thing because I have needed every single workout and healthy breakfast to make up for the rest of my donut-filled days. I still don’t expect to lose any weight this week. But hopefully, by sticking with this plan I won’t gain weight either. And that’s not too shabby for a relaxed vacation at the beach.
